学情分析
交通工具有许多学生已经在小学学过,而ferry, subway两种交通工具没有学过;形容词的比较级学生已经在第五、六模块学习了,对形容词、副词的比较级的变化规律有了认识,因此对形容词、副词的最高级的变化规律有一定的帮助。但是有部分学生对形容词和副词的变化是前面加more还是后面加er构成比较级还是不太熟练,可以在本模块得以加强巩固。上课前让学生先上网了解什么叫低碳生活及有关资料。
教材分析:
在课改的背景下,本套教材避免了传统课程的缺点,强调了学生的兴趣、经验等,能结合实际,贴近生活,插图生动活泼,重视了学生的情感。本节课我强调英语课程要从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发,倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式和任务型的教学途径,发展学生的综合语言运用能力。
学习内容分析:
本模块第一单元学习形容词的最高级和出行乘坐交通方式。前面两个模块已学习形容词的比较级,这是本模块第一次出现最高级形式,整册书只用一个模块来学习最高级。本模块第二单元通过阅读方式继续深化学习形容词的最高级和人们选择出行方式。
1最高级:当我们需要对三个或三个以上的人或事物进行比较, 来表达最高、最远、最快等意义的时候, 我们可以用形容词和副词的最高级形式来表达。
构成方法:
1. 一般在词尾加-est.
E.g. long — longest  tall — tallest
       strong — strongest  short —  shortest
2. 以字母e结尾的形容词/副词,直接加-st.
   E.g. nice — nicest               late — latest
3. 以重读闭音节结尾的形容词/副词,应先
    双写该字母,再加-est.
E.g. big — biggest            thin — thinnest
4. 在部分双音节和多音节词前加most.
E.g. careful – most careful
dangerous — most dangerous
注意:
形容词的最高级前一定要加定冠词the,  而副词的最高级前则可加也可不加the。
2 by+ means of transport,介词短语by后直接跟交通工具,中间不能出现冠词a 或the ,但是学生常会在此处出错。易与短语take a / the +交通工具  (动词短语), on a /the +交通工具(介词短语)用法混淆。

教学重点
1正确拼读本课单词;2形容词最高级;3 by+交通工具
在学习最高级时,从复习比较级入手,运用知识的“正迁移”,比较两者形式,掌握变化规律; 学习by+交通工具时,要注意特别说明和比较动词短语take a train有冠词,介词短语on a train有冠词,但介词短语by train无冠词。举例子说明。
教学难点
使用“ by+交通工具”和形容词最高级对自己或他人采取何种方式出行进行描述及对出行方式的原因或感受。情景中练习,让学生在模仿中感悟,在小组合作中学习,在运用中巩固和熟练掌握用法。

教学反思
1、本课力求通过一系列贴近学生生活实际的生动活泼的教学设计,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,培养学生自主学习以及团结合作的能力,使学生初步形成该话题的会话能力。
2、教学过程中根据学生的心理,积极鼓励学生进行情景交际,让学生在教师的指导下通过感知、体验、实践、参与和合作等方式实现教学的目标,感受成功。
3、教学过程中注重环节与环节之间的有机联系,精心设计,努力导入自然,做到环环相扣,步步为营,使学生真正做到学以致用。
  4、能保持传统教学当中较为好的做法,如模仿录音朗读课文等,又能在这个基础上力求创新,如引入环节,选用的录像内容与本节课重点内容之一有关,既切题,又能调动课堂气氛,激发学生学习英语的积极性;其二,以旧带新,创设情景,复习旧知识形容词比较级别,导入新内容最高级等;而在学习最高级过程当中又学习了句型“by+交通工具”,这两个重点紧密结合,一举两得。三、最后一个亮点是创设一个定五一计划的情景,让学生将本节课所学到的知识,综合运用,又结合了当前的热点话题:低碳生活,让学生的情感得到了升华。
